APC Town Hall Meeting: Apart from Governor’s LGA, Ehime Mbano Is The Headquarters Of APC In Imo Speaker

The Speaker, who gave the assurance on Tuesday, during the town hall meeting of APC stakeholder at the Local Government Headquarters, described Ehime Mbano as the next APC headquarters in Imo after Oru East, the Local Government of His Excellency, Senator Uzodimma.

He noted that all the great leaders in Ehime Mbano, who command large followers at the grassroots, have emptied into APC owing to the outstanding performance of Gov. Hope Uzodimma.

The Speaker, who is also member representing Ehime Mbano State Constituency in the State House of Assembly, rained profuse appreciation to Hope Uzodimma, who he said has shown so much love to the people of Ehime Mbano.

He explained that the Speaker of Imo State House of Assembly produced by the Local Government is the making of God and the support of his honourable colleagues and Gov. Hope Uzodimma.

The Speaker told members of the State Working Committee of the Party, led by the State Party Chairman, Dr. Macdonald Ebere, who were at the event, that Ehime Mbano is peaceful, united and determined to ensure that all the wish of the governor is met at the coming general election.

He however, noted that although the governor has not relented in constructing roads in the Local Government area, but poor road network has continued to worry the people of the LGA. He particularly mentioned the Afor Nzerem-Nkwo Dioka Road as one of the roads that demands urgent attention owing to its strategic importance to agricultural growth of the state.

Also Speaking at the event, the member representing Okigwe South Federal Constituency at the Green Chambers, Rt Hon. Deacon Chike Okafor, hailed the Governor for doing all he can to ensure that APC wins across board in the forthcoming election.

He agreed with Imo Speaker that Ehime Mbano is an  indispensable LGA in winning election in Okigwe South given the quality of politicians it parades.

Deacon Chike, who extolled the good people of Okigwe South Federal Constituency, explained that though he has contributed immensely in all the communities in Ehime Mbano through the construction of health centers, schools, bore hole etc, his strongest point in the forthcoming election is that he belongs to the party that controls the centre, the state and the Local Government areas.

The Okigwe APC Senatorial Candidate, Engr. Patrick Ndubueze and the Imo State House of Assembly candidate were not left out. Engr Ndubueze had informed the people of Ehime Mbano that he stands a better chance of attracting Federal Government presence to the area if elected.

He called on them to vote for  him massively as they did In  2019.  Also, the Imo State House of Assembly candidate, Hon. Ben Udoemenam, said he will ensure Ehime is adequately represented if voted in.

Earlier, the members of APC State Working Committee led Dr. Macdonald Ebere, the APC State Chairman, said that they came to Ehime Mbano in continuation of the state-wide town hall meeting aimed at helping the party to understand the challenges and prospects of the Local Government for the general election and to transmit feed back to the governor.

The event, which was attended by all the political appointees from Ehime Mbano, all Local Government and Ward Party Executives, also witnessed the defection of members of other parties to APC.
