This may not be the best of times for the people of Araomire Town in Eti-Osa Local Government Area of Lagos State over alleged harassment, intimidation and threat to their lives by owners of Gidi De Palms Company in the area.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that members of the community are pleading with the Executive Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu and the Inspector General of Police, Dr Kayode Egbetokun, to intervene and come to their aid.
The members of the community alleged that people in the area have been subjected to intimidation with several threats for the past three years over their landed property. They alleged that their lands were being forcefully taken with both uniformed men and armed thugs said to be aided by the owners of Gidi De Palms Company, identified as Mr. Dagura and Mr. Tobi.
They said, “We, the people of Araomire Town at Eti-Osa Local Government Area of Lagos State, are begging and pleading with the Inspector General of Police, Dr Kayode Egbetokun and His Excellency Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the Executive Governor of Lagos State, to please come to our aid”.
“Over three years now,  Mr. Dagura and Mr. Tobi, owners Gidi De Palms Company, have been threatening our lives, intimidating us, trespassing on our landed properties and harassing us with both uniformed men and thugs.”
“We would want you to use your good office to see an end to this every day intimidation from these two dangerous men. We will highly appreciate your prompt intervention. Thank you very much.”
