AYLEI Set To Hold 2021 SouthWest Youth Economic & Security Summit

African Young Leaders Empowerment Initiative, AYLEI, is set to host its Southwest Youth Economic and Security Summit.

The Programme themed: ‘Repositioning The Youth for A Workable Nigeria’ which is coming up in Lagos on 29th July, 2021, will serve as a platform to empower Nigerian youths with information that will enable them to stand out and succeed in their businesses, careers, and professions especially in response to the current global economic outlook resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Summit will be chaired by Sir Kessington Adebutu and to be graced by other notable Nigerians, who have contributed to the development of the country, which include: Chief Akinsanya Sunny Ajose OON, as the Father of the Day and His Royal Majesty Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja 11 as the Royal Father of the day.

 The Speakers at the event include Prof. Wole Soyinka, Femi Falana (SAN), Prof. Sylvester Odion Akhaine, David Messan, Agbaakin Abass Akande Obesere, Hon. Segun Dawodu, Otunba Dengel Anifowoshe, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa, Rt. Hon. Bamidele Oloyelogun, Dr. Teniola Babatunde Adesanya, Hon. Akanbi Saheed Afonja, Congressman Bimbo Daramola, Hon. Yemi Adaramodu,  Hon. James Faleke,  Aarebinrin Folashade Olabanji-Oba, High Chief Adetunji Adeleye, Otunba Babatunde Abejide, Hon. Oshun Moshood, Dynamite Olusegun Ewedemi, Comr. Kayode Odunuga, Mr. Oluseye Oyeleye, Hon Waheed Afolabi Ayantayo, Princess Aderemi Adebowale, Ms. Ruth Bisola Olusanya, Mrs. Yetunde Arobieke, Engr. Saheed Olusola Balogun, Dr. Waheed Buruj Salaudeen, Sheikh Muh Saheed Mustapha Al-Iyamoye1, Amb. Tomi Amosu, Comrade Lekan Biliamin Oba, Hon. Prince Adeniyi Olusola Olutimehin-Majesty, Amb. Akanni Michael. 


Speaking at a Press conference in Lagos, Amb. Dele Moses, President of African Young Leaders Empowerment Initiative and the convener Southwest Youth Economic and Security Summit, declared that the summit will provide a platform for some of the most celebrated policymakers, economic and security thinkers, and corporate leaders to offer personal and professional insights on these pressing concerns. Questions and answers sessions will be held for the participants to engage in discussions on economic planning and governance, preparing them for the challenges and opportunities facing our region and Nigerian business for the youths.

The programme will have youths in attendance from across the SouthWest region.

“Life is being reshaped by major trends and events such as globalization, terrorism, climate change and in recent times COVID-19.”
“Hence the need for youths to identify their positions, strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats to enable them to employ available technology to develop and leverage their competencies and stand out.”

According to the organizers of the programme, the main scope of the summit is to promote political and social participation of youths at Local, Regional, and National levels, by developing civic engagement through the design and development of an interactive platform based on learning and exchange of views and ideas, combining inclusive non-formal education as well as networking and active community engagement.
