Badagry League:Def Champions New Era Begin Title Defence With Mopson

Defending champions, New Era Football Club would begin their title defence with Mopson Football Academy in the week one official opening match of the 20021&2022 Badagry Divisonal Football League.

The much anticipated match would begin tomorrow afternoon at the Bereko Army Barrack football pitch, Badagry, Lagos. Three matches would be played tomorrow as GGSI would face Paslaw FA,while Sky Rovers take on Rivas FC in the last match of the day at the Badagry zone.

Action continues on Sunday as Kweme tackle Super Heroes, while newcomers, Badagry United battle formidable 36 Lion Academy in another tough encounter.

Secretary of Badagry Division, Raymond Akaluogbo told our correspondent that the organisers have put everything in place for the commencement of the league saying that this year’s league would be better organized in terms of officiating, organization and the safety of the participating teams.

“We are good to go to kick start the league without any further delay. We have put all the logistics in place to commence the league. The defending champions and their opponents have been preparing for the league so I wish both of them all the best in their outings,” he said.

Akaluogbo however urged the participating teams to hurry up to complete their registrations forms saying that any team fail to meet the deadline would be disqualified.

Chairman Media Committee, Osondu Martins Obiegbu assured the teams that Badagry league would enjoy media publicity and warned the players, coaches, fans and club owners to shun any social vices that can tarnish the image of the league.
