Baptist Faithfuls Hold 108th Annual Convention As Ayokunle Bows Out As President

Posted on April 12, 2021

A few days from now, the Baptist family, under the umbrella of the Nigerian Baptist Convention, (NBC) will hold her annual convention-in-session and perform a change of leadership of the denomination as she celebrates the contributions of the incumbent president, His Eminence, Rev. Dr. Supo Ayokunle.

The Lagos Baptist Conferences is playing the host to the entire Baptist family at the new Baptist International Conference Centre (BICC) for this year’s Convention-in-Session with the theme: “Moving Forward: Finishing the Race with Joy”, and the text taken from Acts 20:24.

The president will bow out of the office as the 6th Convention President, after Ten years of meritorious service of two-terms, to the body of Christ.

As scheduled, the event will run from April 24th to 29th, 2021, at the Baptist International Conference Centre, (BICC) Km 54, Lagos – Ibadan Expressway, Lafuwape.

The 108th session of the convention is unique, and it will linger in the hearts of many Baptist adherents.

The session marks the end of tenure for Rev Dr. Supo Ayokunle and fulfills the aspiration of many Baptists who yearn for a campground to hold spiritual programmes of this magnitude.

The president is happy because this has happened in his own time.
