Bet9ja Ekiti Football League: Ekiti FA Partners Security Agency, Peace Corps

Ekiti State Football Association continued its drive to make the Bet9ja Ekiti State Football League better on Thursday when , it held a top priority meeting with the Ekiti State Peace Corps.

The meeting was held ostensibly to profer solutions to the niggling crowd problems associated with local and indeed  world football and of course, engender a long lasting working cooperation and partnership for the benefit of Ekiti football and particularly, the ongoing Bet9ja Ekiti State Football League.

The Ekiti FA delegation which was led by its indefatigable boss, Bayo Olanlege was warmly welcomed to the Ekiti State Peace Corps headquarters, at the Governor’s office, Ado-Ekiti, by the DG/ Commander, Hon. Dele Owoju.

He praised the Bayo Olanlege led Ekiti FA Board on its impressive achievements in the promotion and development of football in the state. As he also promised that the state peace corps are ready to cooperate with the FA to help it achieve its objectives.

In his remarks, Olanlege lauded the corps for providing security and ensuring that communities in the state are safe for the lives and properties of the people.

He went on to state that Ekiti FA, therefore deem it necessary to partner with the agency in the areas of security, particularly at the match venues of the ongoing Bet9ja Ekiti Sttate Football League.

Resolutions reached at the meeting, included a total cooperation and partnership between both bodies; Ekiti State Football Association and Ekiti State Peace Corps for the ongoing Bet9ja Ekiti State Football League.

It was also agreed that fixtures and information on the second round matches of the league be made available to the agency for proper security arrangement.

It was also agreed that a minimum 10 peace corps personnel would always be on ground at the league matches throughout the competition.

Other members of the delegation included Ajibewa John Adeniyi, Soji Farotimi, Olaifa Tope and Idowu B.S, the Local Football Councils, the club  referees council, club owners as well as the Ekiti State FA  board respectively.
