Bigi Carbonated Soft Drink and Fearless Energy Drink, flagship brands from Rite Foods Limited, are set to bring three days of music, talent and entertainment to Yaba College of Technology, YABATECH, Lagos.
The campus takeover will run from September 15 to 17, 2026, under the Soundcity OnTour platform. The activation is designed to engage students beyond a regular concert by creating spaces for participation, talent discovery and self-expression.
Activities will begin with campus engagements aimed at building excitement across the institution. These will include brand experiences, games and interactions with students ahead of the main events.
On Day Two, attention will shift to music with the Bigi Music Competition. The contest will give aspiring artistes from YABATECH an opportunity to perform before a larger audience.
One winner will emerge as the YABATECH campus champion and go home with a ₦1 million prize. The winner will also advance to the national stage of the competition for further exposure and career development opportunities.
Fearless Energy Drink will also spotlight dance talent through the Fearless Dance Challenge. The contest will allow YABATECH students to showcase their skills, compete for prizes and entertain their peers during the three-day event.
The final day will feature the Soundcity OnTour concert, which will serve as the climax of the engagement. Students can expect live performances, music and entertainment as the brands wrap up the campus activation.
Speaking on the initiative, Ekuma Eze, Head of Corporate Affairs and Sustainability at Rite Foods Limited, said the company is focused on creating platforms that reflect the energy and creativity of young Nigerians.
“Young people are not waiting for culture to happen, they are creating it every day. Through the Bigi and Fearless brands, we want to meet them where that creativity is most visible and give them platforms where they can express themselves, discover their capabilities and connect with opportunities beyond the immediate moment,” Eze said.
He added that the Soundcity OnTour partnership aligns with the brand’s commitment to youth development, entertainment and talent discovery across Nigerian campuses.
The YABATECH edition is part of Rite Foods’ broader campus engagement strategy to connect with students and support emerging talent in music and dance.
Organizers expect thousands of students to participate across the three days, with activities designed to combine brand experience with entertainment.
The Soundcity OnTour campus series has previously visited other tertiary institutions in Nigeria, providing a platform for students to showcase talent while enjoying live music and brand experiences.
