IKPO IGBINOBA
After losing a year of grading, no thanks to the Covid 19 pandemic, Bodyweapon Taekwondo Academy will hold her annual grading on Saturday, May 22, 2021.
The grading, unarguably the most celebrated event on the club’s calendar will hold at its training ground at Agbado Frontliners Primary School, Lagos.
Twenty-two students, from beginners white to brown belt made the cut after scaling the rigorous pre-grading examination.
Chief instructor Emmanuel Banjo declared after the Maý 8, 2021 pre-grading tests that the 22 practitioners had performed well enough to be presented for grading.
“Now, I can present these students to my bosses who will be in charge of the grading”, Banjo said thumping his chest and beaming with palpable satisfaction.”
The students who were picked for the pre- grading examination for their punctuality and consistency in training in the last nine months performed plank-breaking acts, poomsae and sparring to qualify for the final test.
Sabom Lucky Ogunmelen, the chief instructor of Kickers and Fitness Club, will preside over the grading ceremony.
Coach Banjo said the event would be conducted under strict Covid 19 protocols.
