Bodyweapon Taekwondo Academy Coaches Back To School

Chief instructor of Bodyweapon Taekwondo Academy, Alagbado, Lagos Emmanuel Banjo and his deputy Abidemi Akinola have returned to the classroom.

The duo have been admitted to the prestigious National Institute for Sports in Lagos for a year Advanced Diploma programme in coaching.

An excited Banjo said he felt great gaining admission to the Premier sports institute. “I am really excited returning to school and not just any school but the premier sports institute in the country”, Banjo said. 

His equally excited deputy Akinola said the admission to the NIS was a dream come true for him. 

According to him “It has been my dream to attend the NIS and now the dream has come true”

Reacting to the admission of the coaches, Welfare Director of the Bodyweapon Academy, Mrs.Oluwaseyi Adetola said it was a progressive step forward not just for the coaches but also for the Academy.

“I am happy that our coaches are back to school to improve their knowledge”  Mrs. Adetola said 

“It is a boost to the CV of the coaches and the profile of our Academy.

“Our children are also going to benefit from the coaches education”, the Welfare chief added.

Apart from their core sporting discipline which is taekwondo, the coaches will also take lessons in judo, another martial art which they chose as their elective course.

The programme will end in December.
