In his bid to fly Nigeria’s colours in the next Summer 2024 Paris Olympics Games, Omole Dolapo knocked out his opponent in the 57kg category in Dakar, Senegal, where the boxing event for African qualifiers is ongoing.

Dolapo, one of the three Team Lagos’ boxers representing Nigeria in the tournament, won his first fight in a knock out fashion over Kanu Abu from Sierra Leone to keep his dream of representing Nigeria at the Summer Games in Paris alive.

The Team Lagos’ Pugilist beat his opponent to the canvass in the first round of a bout that spare judges the stress.

Monday will be another day for Dolapo when he shares ring with Ghanaian Omar Wahid in the 57kg.

Other Lagos boxers in Team Nigeria rooting for the continental slots in Dakar in their different categories include  Oyesiji Adeola (F) 50kg and Ojo Joy (F) 57kg.
