Boy,15, Arraigned For Defiling Girl,10, Besides Police Station

A 15-year old boy has landed in trouble in Lagos State for allegedly luring and engaging a 10-year old girl in sex besides a Police station. 
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the boy has been arrested and charged for defilement over his alleged conduct.
The incident happened on 25th August, 2025, at Omojudu area, beside former SARS office, Ibeju-Lekki area of Lagos.
According to the Police, the boy lured the victim to the place, forced her to remove her pants and forcefully penetrated her in the process.
However, the matter got exposed and the victim’s parents reported to the Police in the area. The boy was arrested and transferred to the Gender Section of the State Police Command for interrogation over his alleged conduct.
The Police found him culpable after interrogation and charged him before the Ogba Magistrate Court for the alleged offence, which attracts several years of imprisonment or life imprisonment.
The charge read:
“That you, S. E., 15-year-old ‘m’, on the 25th day of August 2025, at Omojudu area beside former SARS office, Ibeju – Lekki, Lagos State, in the Lagos Magisterial District, did defile the victim,10 years by forcefully having unlawful canal knowledge of her and thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 137 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2015.”
However, the Court did not take his plea following a motion moved by the prosecutor, Inspector Lucky Ihiehie, asking the Court to refer the matter to the DPP for legal advice.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. M.O. Tanimola, ordered his remand in the juvenile center pending the outcome of the DPP’s advice and directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send it to the DPP for advice.
The matter was adjourned for mention for the report of the DPP’s advice to be available, which will determine if the matter will be transferred to the High Court or not over jurisdiction.
The names of both the defendant and victim were withheld in line with the policy of P.M.EXPRESS because they are still minors.
