British Envoy Visits Beat FM, Classic FM and Lagos Talks

The British High Commissioner to Nigeria, Paul Arkwright has paid a courtesy visit to Management of Megalectrics, owners of Beat FM, Classic FM, Naija FM and Lagos Talks.
During the envoy’s visit to the station last Friday, Arkwright discussed his plans to reconnect and engage with graduates of the National Chevening Alumni Leadership Summit, UK/Nigeria relations and matters regarding issuance of UK Visas to Nigerians.
Speaking on the visit, General Manager, Megalectrics Ltd, Deji Awokoya commented; “We are delighted to have hosted the Commissioner today as one of the foremost radio stations in Nigeria and we commend the laudable contribution of the commission to organisations in Nigeria. Our discussions were fruitful and centered around areas of common interest such as raising the standard of broadcasting in Nigeria.”
He further said: “Our relationship with the commission will go a long way to improve what we do as a media organisation and also help improve our capacity building programmes”.
The visit was also geared towards strengthening the bilateral relationship between the commission and Megalectrics.
After a sit-down with management, the commissioner was also interviewed on Beat FM, Classic FM, and Lagos Talks.
Paul Arkwright is a British diplomat and UK High Commissioner to Nigeria.

He was appointed British High Commissioner to the Federal Republic of Nigeria in October 2015.
