Buri Episode 5-8 Review: New Shareholder Emerges as Conspiracy to Snatch Abu Mansur’s Wealth Thickens

Posted on March 14, 2024

Abu Mansur made little progress with his recovery bid as he can partly recognise his immediate family including his two wives, children, mother and sister. Sadly, for him, his suspicions were confirmed, his two wives are gold diggers.

While he convened a meeting to inform members of the family of his slight recovery, he made damning revelations about the sinister intentions of his wives, Hajia Fatima and Maryam. He also disclosed that he is aware that his first son, Mansur has been conniving with Fatima to divert company finances and contracts to their private ventures.

However, instead of immediately expelling them from his house, Abu Mansur chose to let them remain. This leaves viewers wondering what his next move will be or if he is waiting to recover fully before taking further action. In his bid to aid his recovery, he held his first conversation with his mother (Hajia Inna) and urged her to share details from his past life that can help him.

Through the conversation, it was revealed that AbuMansur grew up poor in a village, before moving to the city to hustle. However, his childhood lover, Sabawa, whom he would have preferred to marry had been compelled to engage another man by her parents. Hajia Inna urged her son to reach out to Sabawa to further learn more about his childhood and youthful days. Will this truly have any impact on Abu Mansur’s recovery?

Drama in Abu Mansur’s house took an interesting turn when a new figure emerged. An Alhaji known to the family visited and claimed he had 50% shares in AbuMansur’s companies, this leaves members of the family concerned, primarily because they each were making plans to divert his wealth. Also because they suspect foul play as Abu Mansur never mentioned a shareholder with 50% stake in his company.

Meanwhile, after being exposed, Abu Mansur’s second wife, Maryam was seen conversing on phone with an unknown figure. Through her conversation, viewers learnt she was planted in the business mogul’s house with the aim of stealing his wealth. In light of recent occurrences, Maryam was heard urging her accomplice to expedite his plans before the new figure outsmarts everyone.

Who is this Alhaji and what is his motive? Find out in the next episodes of Buri airing between Thursday and Sunday on Africa Magic Hausa at 7:30pm. Repeat broadcasts hold every 9am the following morning after an original broadcast.
