Buruj Boys Trash Dynamic FC 3 – 0 In Ongoing First Edition Naza Pharmacy Unity Cup

Buruj boys were set on course for a stunning away win in the game against Dynamic FC, receiving tones of accolades from their ever increasing fan base inside the Araromi Youth Development Centre, Gbagada Lagos.

The match kicked off exactly 3:30pm. The first opportunity of the match came in the early opening 3 minutes of play when a corner was flicked on in the centre by Segun Idowu, which was brilliantly converted via a perfect header by Joel Olubodun to get the first goal in the match.

With the game in progress, Buruj wingbacks were causing issues for opponent as they found themselves in behind the home side’s defence.

Dynamic FC failed to clear their lines and having regained possession, the Buruj boys had them penned in.

Buruj Goal Keeper, Edet Inyang, showed he is equal to the task and properly fit, making fabulous saves denying each of the attempt of the opponent.

The first half ended 0 – 1 in Favour of Buruj Sports Academy.

Second half began on a good note with Buruj Sports Academy making their first substitution replacing Abideen Adio with Peter Akor in the 50 minutes of play.

The opponent tried a change as they attempted to pile on the pressure in search of a leveler.

Both teams were interesting to watch on the field of play, with fans cheering the teams up for victory.

At 60 minutes of play, Buruj Sports Academy made substitution replacing Jeremiah Fagbemile with James Acha.

In the  67 minutes of play, Fatai Aliu got yellow carded. While on the 73 minutes, the second goal came in for Buruj Sports Academy off the boot of James Acha lifting the ball beyond the onrushing keeper to make it 2-0.

The opponent threatened to peg back that advantage and make for a more uncomfortable conclusion to the match as they broke forward from just inside Buruj’s territory but could not get any results.

Noah Salaudeenm who did a lot of marking disturbing the dynamic defense, got a lot of finishing but was unlucky today.

Timothy Iwuchukwu also raised his game by listening to instructions today and got many chances and finally scored the 3rd goal in 82 minutes of the game but he was substituted with Samod Aladaba, a young talented good potential attacking midfielder.

At the end of 90 minutes of an entertaining tough game, the match ended 0 – 3 in Favour of Buruj Sports Academy, who pushed through to Semi-Final in the 1st Edition of Naza Pharmacy Unity Cup.

After the match, Buruj Sports Academy CEO, Dr. Salaudeen Waheed Buruj, opined “It’s very impressive to see our boys be at their best, delivering quality match for the fans. If they keep up with this electrifying performance on the pitch, we have more laurels knocking”.
