Buruj Sports Academy Defeats Golden Titans 3–1 In Pre-Season Friendly

As part of preparations for the 2026 NLO season and the London Cup, Buruj Sports Academy hosted Golden Titans FC in a high-intensity friendly match at their home ground on Tuesday evening.

 

In the pulsating encounter, Buruj came from behind to secure a convincing 3–1 victory.

 

The match kicked off at 4:25 p.m., with Golden Titans showing early dominance. Their efforts were rewarded in the 25th minute, when player No. 15 put them ahead.

Buruj responded swiftly. In the 33rd minute, Moses Agemo levelled the score with a superbly converted direct free kick after being fouled at the edge of the Titans’ penalty area. Just two minutes later, Gabriel Daniel struck again in the 35th minute, completing the comeback and giving Buruj a 2–1 lead going into halftime.

 

The second half resumed at 5:25 p.m., with Buruj maintaining possession and executing their tactical plan effectively. Their dominance paid off in the 74th minute, when Anjolaoluwa Idowu finished off a well-timed assist from Samod, extending the lead to 3–1.

Buruj held firm until the final whistle, sealing a confident and impressive win as they continue preparations for upcoming competitions.
