Buruj Sports Academy Plans Big For 10th Anniversary

As part of activities to mark the historic milestone of reaching 10 years,  top management members of Buruj Sports Academy met with executive chairman of Shomolu local government who also happens to be a major sponsor of the Academy, Alhaji Ahmed Salawu, a.k.a Dullar.

At the occasion, also witnessed by a member of the Federal House  of Representatives, Shomolu constituency,  Hon Wole Diya, the CEO of Buruj Sports Academy,  Dr Salaudeen Waheed also presented the English International Super Cup trophy won in Manchester, England last June to the Chairman as well as to intimate him with plans for the anniversary and awards night planned for London next April.

Already all 57/local council and LCDA chairmen in Lagos have been invited to be a part of the initiative to develop football at the grassroots and this has been yielding positive responses from them.

Buruj Academy’s 10th  anniversary has the backing and royal blessings of His Majesty Oba Eniitan Ogunwusi , the Ooni of Ife who’s also the Life Patron of the Academy with Reverend (Mrs) Esther Ajayi, General Overseas Love of Christ Generation Church, UK who is the Life Matron.

To be on the bandstand at a grand concert to mark the occasion will be Alhaji Abass Akande Obesere who is the Chairman, Board of Trustees of the Academy.

The plan is to take a minimum of 300 Buruj Academy fans to the United Kingdom and so far about 200 have so far made a commitment to go on the trip.
