CAGRaM Calls On Youths To Embrace Peace & Collaborate With Govt

Posted on July 23, 2024

The umbrella body of all political support group, CAGRaM, under the All Progressive Congress (APC), has called on the youths in Nigeria to embrace peace, interact, proffer solutions, and collaborate with the government to bring about the actualization of the Renewed Hope agenda of Mr. President and shun any action or utterances that can lead to breakdown of law and order.

CAGrAM Southwest Chairman, Hon Okedara Kolawole, made the call at a press conference held in Ikeja, Lagos on Tuesday, 23rd July, 2024.

The Southwest Chairman of CAGRaM and the director general of Movement For Greater Nigeria, Hon Okedara Kolawole, urged and advised the youths not to allow some persons who lost out in the last election to use them for their non-progressive and personal vendetta.

“We are aware that there are issues and they are being tackled accordingly by Mr. President. Let’s join hands with Mr. President, support and encourage him to keep standing with the masses. Let’s not allow plotters of evil and mayhem to use us against our country for their egocentric political agenda.”

Okedara cited the ENDSARS protest, which took place few years ago in Lagos, which was eventually hijacked by disgruntled political elements where innocent lives and several properties worth billions of Naira were lost as a result of the senseless action by agents of darkness.

“We all witnessed how innocent lives and properties worth billions of Naira were lost during the so-called ENDSARS protest just few years ago in Lagos, when a genuine agitation turned into violence.”

“Let us take a cue from Kenya. There is need for us to thread softly with the development in Kenya and other similar incidents across the world, where genuine agitations have been hijacked by agents of devil and have resulted into lost of innocent lives and several properties destroyed” Okedara said.

The Southwest Secretary of CAGRaM, Comrade Tunji Adeleke, noted that the positive effects of some of the policies of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is beginning to manifest on the nation.

“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration has just approved a new minimum wage for the civil servant which is more than 100%.”

“He has equally removed the duties payable on essential food items, payment of student loans among other efforts by the government to put the Economy back on track,” he said.

“We appeal to Nigerians to continue to support Mr. President in his resolve to institute a sustainable economy model that will benefit all,” he said.

He urged and implored all leaders, including National Assembly members, serving and former State Assembly Members, serving and former Cabinet members, Council Chairmen and party stalwarts to use their vantage position to educate and sensitize the populace on the needs to understand President Tinubu’s policies and be patient in order to let those policies manifest and make lives better for the people of the country.
