Cameroon coach, Bugo Broos (middle) at the press conference in Uyo, Akwa Ibom Thursday evening.

Confident  chief coach of the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon , Hugo Broos has said that his team has the edge over the Super Eagles of Nigeria ahead of the World Cup qualifying cracker between the two super powers of African football at the Godswill Akpabio stadium on Friday.

According to Broos , the Indomitable Lions have the advantage of playing the African Cup of Nations , where the Super Eaglesmweee absent and his team won in Gabon and FIFA Confederation Cup in Russia in June and these two  important football tournaments have given the Lions a better experience and psychological edge over their formidable foes.

He added further that the Lions are under intense pressure having gotten two points from just two games in the group, while the Super Eagles are topping the group with six points and he affirmed that losing the game to the Super Eagles tomorrow will definitely knock out the current African champions from the race to the 2018 Russia World Cup.

And having observed the weather in Uyo,  where there has been massive rainfall in the city for the past few days, Broos informed that he will prefer the rain to still fall tomorrow and when he was a player during his playing days , he loved playing football in the rain due to the fact the ball is faster and the weather is good for the players to exhibit their footballing prowess.

He also revealed that his game plan against the Super Eagles is to play for a draw in Uyo and win the reveree fixture few days later in Yaounde, as he reckoned that failure to achieve these objectives will spell doom for the four time African Champions .

He, however expressed the fact whatever be the case, especially if the result fails to go favourable the way of the Indomitable Lions, he is not under any pressure to resign or face the sledge hammer of sack from the football authority in Cameroon.
