Cerebral Palsy Patient, Kupe Becomes Millionaire At SM Jury Entrepreneur Forum

It was joy unlimited for Anthony Kupe, a cerebral Palsy patient, as he won cash reward of over N1 million at the SM Jury Business Conference held recently in Lagos.

The event tagged “Building Your Empire” was designed to make millionaires out of the Nigerian youths. The event convened by Tonia Odili at the Lagos Oriental Hotel.

The high point of the  business forum was the making of a special entrepreneur out of Kupe, who was presented with a cash support of N100, 000 by Team SM Jury for beating all odds despite his physical challenges as a cerebral palsy patient to become a graduate of Lagos State Polytechnic and starting up his own business.

EXPRESS reports that Kupe’s story drew the attention of the keynote speakers at the forum, Dr. Kennedy Okonkwo, CEO of Nedcomoaks, Mr Victor Onyejuiwa, CEO of the Source Computers and Princess Kelechi Oghene, CEO of GMYT Fashion Academy who jointly increased the cash reward to over a N1 million.

Also, there was also special presentation of scholarships to 20 aspiring young fashion designers into the GMYT Fashion Academy with a value of over N20 million courtesy of the GMYT Fashion School in partnership with the SM Jury Foundation.

The SM Jury Business Conference was a gathering of top business executives. Panellists from all walks of life took centre stage to share their entrepreneurial journey and challenged young entrepreneurs to be passionate about their crafts in building their empire.

In her opening speech, the Convener of the event4, Tonia Odili, said that “the goal of the SM Jury Business Conference is to train and mentor young entrepreneurs in various fields, create a community of young entrepreneurs who believe in themselves and are ready to put their creative minds to use.

Other Keynotes speakers who wowed the audience included the CEO of HNK Interiors, Mrs Funke Soyibo and the Director of Sales Remoney, Mrs Iyayi Oludapo.

Entering its 6th year, the SM Jury has hosted events at the U.S Embassy, Lagos Oriental Hotel, Eko Hotel and Suites, GOETHE Institute, Freedom Park and Obafemi Awolowo University.
