Chairperson NAOWA 1 Division Chapter Visits President NAOWA

The Chairperson Nigerian Army Officers’ Wives Association (NAOWA) 1 Division Chapter, Mrs. Judith Akinjobi, on Thursday 18th May, 2023, paid a courtesy visit to the President NAOWA, Mrs. Salamatu F Yahaya, at the NAOWA National Secretariat.

Mrs. Akinjobi in her remarks, appreciated the President NAOWA and stated that the legacies she established as the Chairperson NAOWA 1 Division are still subsiting and in use, she also assured the President NAOWA of her commitment to give a facelift to the NAOWA Nursery and Primary School in Kalapanzi Barracks, and also pledged to revive the Vocational Training Centre at Dalet Barracks.

Mrs. Akinjobi further reiterated her determination to ensure more workshops and training for staff of NAOWA schools in order to improve their capacity to impact more on pupils, as well as to empower women and youth within her area of responsibility. She further appreciated the President NAOWA for setting the pace of exemplary leadership which is reflecting on NAOWA members.

Responding, the President NAOWA, Mrs Salamatu F Yahaya, congratulated Mrs Akinjobi on her appointment, and maintained that she has no doubt that Mrs Akinjobi will further add value to NAOWA activities in 1 Division Chapter. The President NAOWA further emphasize that ” what you do is the reflection of who your spouse is and your number role is to protect the image of your spouse.”

The event ended with the signing of visitor’s book, exchange of souvenirs, and group photographs.
