As we navigate the various paths ahead, it’s clear that adaptable strategies are essential. Soludo’s commitment to shifting to Gear 2 in his ambitious vision reflects a thoughtful approach to accelerating the execution of projects, policies and programs aimed at transforming Anambra State into a prosperous and livable homeland. With a remarkable 50% performance rate on the 2024 budget, we can appreciate that his first 30 months in office have focused compassionately on Ndi Anambra, prioritizing the upliftment of vulnerable people and providing opportunities for all children to succeed. The estimated budget of N 607 billion positions us to maximize control in our development journey, emphasizing our love for Ndi Anambra, the future of our children, and the prosperity of our beloved state.

The capital expenditure allocation reflects a significant investment of N467.5 billion, accounting for 77% of the budget. This strategy shows a governor who is willing to consolidate on addressing the Anambra’s infrastructural challenges in innovative ways. By building on his administration’s focus on infrastructure and investments, there are notable increases in funding across critical sectors: administration (45.5%), economy (40.1%), judiciary (51.3%), social sector (82.7%), education (101.4%), health (57.1%), and infrastructure investments (38.9%). This comprehensive allocation will help solidify our state as a destination lounge for investment and relaxation, aspiring to become a hub not just for Nigeria but for all of Africa.

Looking ahead to the proposed 2025 budget, it’s encouraging to see that recurrent expenditure represents a modest allocation of N139.5 billion, or 23% of the total budget. This careful approach reflects Soludo’s passion to prudent governance and cost-cutting measures. As we move forward, we can look forward to projects such as the impressive towers of Awka 2.0, Onitsha 2.0, the new Anambra Industrial City, and the revitalization of government facilities. The ongoing implementation of the Ease of Doing Business initiative, the completion of Fun City, and the development of an international hotel in Awka are significant steps in our progress. Additionally, the upgrade of Agulu Lake and the establishment of a Modern Oncology Center are exciting developments as we confidently shift to Gear 2, united in our vision for a brighter future.
