The Anambra Internal Revenue Service in conjunction with the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria, CITN, has convened a joint taxpayers’ education and  enlightenment programme themed; “Formalising the informal sector: the economic benefits”.
The event featured lead paper presentation, panel discussion and a question and answer session that gave rise to a robust stakeholders interaction.
Speaking at the Awka venue of the programme, participants commended the reawakening of tax consciousness by the Soludo administration, noting that the State has witnessed a new era where government is conscientiously accounting for every penny of tax payers money and putting same to judicious use.
