Chief Ekwilo Declares Eze Prosper Chukwuka As Ezendigbo Gburugburu

A self acclaimed Igbo kingmaker, Chief Chris Ekwilo, has declared Eze Prosper Chukwuka as a replacement for Dim Odimegwu Ojukwu as Ezendigbo Gburugburu for giving him a Chieftaincy title in Lagos State.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that Eze Chukwuka recently conferred a chieftaincy title on Chief Ekwilo as the Mma Agha Ndigbo at his palace in FESTAC town in Lagos.
During the coronation, Chief Ekwilo publicly announced that Eze Prosper as the living Ikemba Ojukwu confirming the earlier claims of Eze Chukwuka that he has replaced the late Ojukwu as new Ezendigbo Gburugburu.
Ekwilo described Eze Chukwuka as the living hero and living Chukwuemeka Odimegwu Ojukwu and thanked God that his conferment as Mma Agha Ndigbo ended in praise.
The declaration of Eze Prosper Chukwuka by Chief Ekwilo may have finally resolved the issue of who is Ezendigbo Gburugburu after the demise of Ikemba Emeka Odimegwu Ojukwu .
Chief Ekwilo had ealier stated that he will play very prominent role as an Igbo king maker in deciding who will become Ezendigbo in diaspora.
He reiterated this at Okija town hall in Amuwo Odofin last year, during the 25th wedding anniversary and new yam festival of Chief Ejike Okezie, Mmiri Di Iche.
Chief Ekwilo, who holds the title of Ichie and Ozo in his Ezinifite town in Aguata Local government Area of Anambra State, explained that he was among the five King makers appointed by the late Ezendigbo Gburugburu, Ikemba Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, to install kings in diaspora.
He explained that out of the five King makers, he is among the survivors that will decide the issue of Ezendigbo in Lagos State.
On how he became a King maker, he explained that he was a foundation member of the Igbo Speaking Community and Ohanaeze Ndigbo in Lagos State. And when the issue of crowning Ezendigbo in Diaspora came up, he was among the five King makers graciously appointed by Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu.
He explained that the king makers played important roles in the emergence of late Ohazuruike as Ezendigbo of Lagos State and noted that some of the King makers have passed on and the responsibility is solely on him.
Chief Ekwilo may be right because no Igbo person has disputed his claims of being a King maker as such his declaration of Eze Prosper Chukwaka as living Odimegwu Ojukwu may indeed be that the issue of Ezendigbo Gburugburu Worldwide may have been finally resolved and given to Eze Prosper Chukwuka.
