Cleric Admonishes Nigerians To Re-dedicate Themselves To God
As the country is contending with diverse challenges, a cleric has admonished Nigerians to re-dedicate themselves to God.
Shepherd in charge of the Celestial Church of Christ, Akera Central Parish 1, Mr. Olusegun Owolabi, gave the counsel on Sunday while delivering his sermon during the Ordination and Thanksgiving Service of the church.
Eight members of the church were elevated to higher ranks. They were three men and five women.
Speaking directly to the honoured members after their investiture, the cleric tasked them to re-dedicate themselves to God, and lead exemplary lives.
According to him “With your new positions, you are now leaders. You should re-dedicate yourselves to God and lead exemplary lives.
“Those coming behind you will look up to you as role models.
“You also need to assist the indigent members of the community and also support the church with the resources God has blessed you with”.
One of the honoured persons, Mrs. Caroline Igbinoba who was ordained as Mother Celestial thanked the church for elevating her.
Mrs. Igbinoba who joined the celestial movement in 1976 in Abeokuta said her ordination was a dream come true.
She told P.M. EXPRESS in an exclusive interview that since becoming a member of the Celestial Church of Christ, CCC, God had been faithful to her.
“If I decide to start listing what the almighty God has done for me since joining the CCC, we won’t leave here today”, the elated business woman said.
She vowed never to leave the CCC adding that “God has been too good to me since I joined CCC”.
She promised to continue with her philanthropic work in the community.
“As my God continues to bless me, I will remain a blessing to all”, she enthused.
Her eldest child, Mrs Abiola Okunola who was at the occasion to rejoice with her said the day was the happiest day in her life.
Mrs. Okunola said: “My mother joined the CCC, over forty years ago, even before I was born and today she’s receiving this honour. Today is my happiest day”.
