A director with Ibru Organisation (name withheld) has lost a whopping $10,000 cash to his cook who allegedly sneaked into his bedroom, stole the said amount and ran away.

P.M.EXPRESS gathered that the Police at Maroko division, Lekki, Lagos have launched a hunt for the cook named Taiwo Yusuf.

The incident, according to police sources, occurred on 23 October, 2016 at 68, Durosimi Etti Street, Lekki Phase I, Lagos where the suspect works as a cook with the director of Ibru Organisation.

Police alleged that Yusuf, 30, from Oyo State, Southwest Nigeria, who had worked with his employer for about five years, allegedly entered his master’s bedroom with a duplicate key to steal the money from a briefcase after his employer left him at home for work.

Police further alleged that since the incident occurred, all efforts to trace the suspect have so far proved futile as the suspect did not drop his profiles with his employer before he secured the job.

Following the development, the police have, therefore, appealed to well meaning Nigerians who may have any useful information about the suspect to contact the nearest police station or Maroko police division for prompt action.
