Lady, 30, Smashes Man’s Head With Bottle During Public Brawl

A man, Chinedu Mamah, had a nasty experience during an encounter with a lady, Amaka Benjamin, as the lady took a bottle and smashed his head during a public brawl in Lagos State.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the 30-year old Amaka Benjamin has been arrested and charged for the  alleged assault on the complainant.
The incident happened on 29th November, 2025, at Lawal Street, Tedi Ojo area of Lagos
According to the Police, the suspect had a disagreement with the complainant over an undisclosed matter which led to exchange of words. And in the process,  the suspect took one Eagle schnapp bottle and  used it to cause bodily harm.
The complainant was said to have bled profusely and was rushed to an undisclosed hospital for treatment due to the injury he sustained during the attack.
The matter was reported to the Police at Onireke Division. The suspect was arrested and detained at the station for interrogation over her alleged conduct.
After rounds of interrogation,  the Police found her culpable and charged her before the Ojo Magistrate Court for the alleged offence which attracts several years of imprisonment.
The charge read:
“That you, Amaka Benjamin on  29/11/2025 at about 2100hrs at Lawal Street,, Tedi Ojo, in the Ojo magisterial district, did assault one Chinedu Mamah with an Eagle schnapp bottle, causing him bodily harm and thereby committed an offence contrary and punishable under Section 173 of the criminal laws of Lagos State of Nigeria 2015.”
However,  she pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor, Supol Esther Adesulu, then asked the Court to give a date for hearing since she pleaded not guilty to enable the Police to prove that she actually committed the alleged offence.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. O.M. Ogun, granted her bail in the sum of N200,000 with one surety in like sum, who must show evidence of means of livelihood and tax payment while addresses will be verified by the Court.
The matter was adjourned for mention while the defendant was remanded in custody at the correctional center pending when she will perfect her bail conditions.
