Council Of Ezendigbo Honours Late Chairman, Eze Agbowodikeizu Nwalozie In Lagos

It was an emotional moment at Ikeja, Lagos as the Council of Ezendigbo of the Igbo Speaking Community gathered to honour their Chairman and Ezendigbo in Ikeja Local Government, Eze Agbowodikeizu Nwalozie, at his palace.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the group was led by their Acting Chairman and Ezendigbo in Aboru, Eze (Sir) Ephraim Nnaemeka, who is also Ozo Akpalata in Urum Anike in Awka North Local Government of Anambra State.
Those in attendance included, Eze John Nwosu, Eze Anoruo, Eze Dr Alex Sunday Nwoye, Eze Timothy Nwanoro among others and their cabinet members including Prime Ministers (Onowu) led by Prince Andymoore among others.
The Executives and members of Igbo Speaking Community led by their President Chief Sunday Udeh (Onwa) and the Igbo political class led by Ichie Anselm Njoku and Chief Chris Ekwilo, were also in attendance to pay their last respect to late leader. The Board of Trustees of the Igbo Speaking Community, Lagos State was duly represented by their Director of Media and Publicity, Chief Cyriacus Izuekwe.
The town union comprising men and women from Mbaise in Imo State, where the deceased leader hails from, were also well represented at the event, displaying their cultural dance
During the service of songs, Ephraim Nnaemeka extolled the virtues of late Agbowodikeizu Nwalozie and described him as a man of integrity, honesty and who was trustworthy. He noted that the late Nwalozie passed on at the time Ndigbo needed him most in Lagos State and declared that nobody can question God for the decision.
He prayed to God to comfort the family, friends and wellwishers and give them the fortitude to bear the loss.
The climax of the event was the pouring of libations in front of the house of the deceased with kolanuts and hot drinks while praying to God to protect and guide the family in line with the Igbo culture and tradition.
Eze Nwalozie died in Spain recently at the age of 63 after a protracted battle with an undisclosed ailment.
He will be remembered for his honesty and integrity, which made the Council of Ezendigbo in Lagos State to elected him as their Chairman over the years.
He held numerous titles before he died including, Asiwaju Ndigbo and Ike Ndigbo of Ikeja before he was eventually crowned Ezendigbo of Ikeja LGA.
The late Eze Agbawodikeizu Nwalozie was the second oldest Ezendigbo in Lagos State after Ezendigbo in Amuwo Odofin, now late Eze Anthony Elui
He was also given the prestigious Chieftaincy title in his home town as the Aka one of Akabor-Mbaise in Imo State.
Eze Agbowodike Nwalozie reigned for 25 years on the throne as the Ezendigbo Of Ikeja LGA and touched many lives positively.
