Council Of Ezendigbo Lagos State Pays Courtesy Visit To Former President, Chief Obasanjo

Some members of Council of Ezendigbo in Lagos State led by Eze Agbowodikeizu Nwalozie has paid a courtesy visit to former President of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, in his palatial home in Ogun State.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the those who accompanied Eze Nwalozie, who is also Ezendigbo of Ikeja, included Deputy Chairman of Council of Ezendigbo, Eze Ephraim Nnaemeka, Eze Ndigbo of Aboru, General Secretary and Ezendigbo of Mushin, Eze John Nwosu, Eze Michael Ubah, Onyendu Ndigbo of Ogun State. Hon. Pastor Paul Eze, Hon. Kalu Uguru, Chief Charles Okafor, President General Anam town union and High Chief Paul Odinaka, Onwa Ndigbo in Ogun State.
The visit was in preparation and invitation for the 2024 Eri Festival to Chief Obasanjo by the Iduu of Eri Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Eze Chukwukaemeka Eri, coming up on 2nd November, 2024.
The delegation was well received by Chief Obasanjo popularly called Baba, who expressed his willingness to honour the invitation. He also revealed his role in making peace between Aguleri and Umuleri during their communal clashes to the delegation.
Meanwhile, the Ezendigbo of Mushin LG, Eze Dr John C. Nwosu, will be conferred with the chieftaincy title as one of the Ambassadors of the Ancient Iduu Kingdom by His Royal Majesty, Eze Chukwuemeka Eri, on the same day for his contributions for the humanity and protection of Igbo culture and tradition.
The text of the letter sent to Eze Nwosu read:
“Warmest greetings from the Ancient Obu-Gad Palace, Enugwu Aguleri, Iduu Eri Kingdom, Anambra East Local Government Area, Anambra State. Obu-Gad Palace, the pivot of Igbo origin and dispersal.”
“I write to you as a proud son of lgbo land, who has constantly maintained, protected and projected the Igbo culture, tradition and customs; confirmed by your various public actions and initiatives. It has been confirmed and we are glad to observe that you truly stand with justice and equity all the times.”
“In consideration of your impeccable track records on offering solutions to societal issues and problems;attributes expressed through your unprecedented philanthropic gestures, rescue of the down trodden and oppressed, my cabinet and I wish, on behalf of the Igbo race, to confer on you a chieftaincy title during the 2024 World Eri Festival.”
“Eri festival is an annual commemoration of Eri, the Progenitor of Igbo race. The 2024 version holds on the 2nd of November, at the Ancient Obu-Gad Palace, Enugwu Aguleri.”
“I earnestly await your response with an abridged profile to enable us inform Anambra State Government of the Chieftaincy conferment exercise.”
Eze Nwosu has since accepted the offer.
