Defending Champions, Samjason Football Club suffered their first defeat in the ongoing Alimosho Football Coaches Council League.

Samjason who are currently on top of the table with 15 points lost 0-1 to ECAS FC to shatter their unbeaten run in week eight of the league.

Team Manager of Samjason, Uchenna Samuel Eke in a chat with our correspondent expressed satisfaction despite the team’s defeat. He said their defeat was a wake-up call and urged his players to remain focused and determined in their next game.

“I am not worried about our defeat. This is a league, one would lose, draw and win so we should expect one of them to happen to us. We have been winning and getting away draws since the league started and this is our first away defeat and it shows that the league is competitive and tough for all the participating teams,” he said.

Eke urged his players to work hard and approach their subsequent matches with all seriousness. He tasked the players not to be disturbed or worried about defeat saying that all the teams still have a long way to go as far as the league is concerned.
