DIFM User, Nike Majekodunmi Applauds OLX

It is estimated that the value of unused yet good quality items stored in Nigerian homes is worth N512 billion.

This situation is as a result of people not realizing the value of the unused items in their homes and also not knowing how to sell.

Some people also have the tendency to hoard items with the hope of using them in the future.

In order to help Nigerians sell their used items conveniently, OLX launched Do-It-For-Me, a premium service that helps busy executives sell their items with the help of the OLX Champs who are sales experts.

One of such DIFM users is Nike Majekodunmi, an extremely busy wife, mother of 3 and the CEO of Nuts About Cakes, a full service bakery that has four branches in Lagos.

Majekodunmi was recently featured in the DIFM OLX TV commercial.

According to her, she heard of the OLX Do-It-For Me Service on TV and decided to give it a try when she needed a bigger oven for her bakery.

“Due to my extremely tight schedule, I knew I needed help selling off my old oven very quickly as I had to buy a new one.  This prompted me to visit the OLX Site, to book a Champ. The thought of receiving calls from strangers was not appealing to me”. I especially loved that the process was very seamless and the Champ did all the negotiating on my behalf,” she said.

Majekodunmi also added that it has been an amazing and very profitable experience using the OLX platform especially after she was featured on the OLX TV Ads.

“My revenue increased by over 21% a couple of weeks after the TV campaign was launched and this helped accelerate the opening of a fourth store,” she enthused.

She however encouraged users to follow the OLX safety tips when using the platform and always insist on inspecting the items before payment is made.

Do-it-For-Me is a premium service that helps busy executives sell their vehicles with the help of the OLX Champs who are sales experts.

They handle posting the item on the site, taking calls from buyers, negotiating for the right price and closing the deal.

OLX is the world’s leading online classifieds platform present in more than 40 countries across six continents.

OLX connect local people to buy and sell used goods, services, cars and properties.

OLX makes it fast and easy to buy or sell almost anything through your mobile phone or on the web.
