United States-based Nigerian artist, Samuel Iren Enyi also known as ‘DJ IREM$’ performed some of his already released songs and some yet to be released tracks from his much anticipated forthcoming EP on 1 November.

The singer-songwriter, producer and disc jockey performed the unannounced 45 minutes set as a surprise for his fans in celebration of attaining 39,000 followers on the gram.

DJ IREM$ who had hinted via his Instagram story about the performance earlier in the day, said “I had planned to do a mini-concert on my Instagram live on Nigeria’s Independence Day but because I was booked for an event on that day I couldn’t. So on getting to 39,000 followers I decided to perform for my followers as my way of saying thank you for following me, standing by me and streaming my music.”

This was Enyi’s first ever performance via Instagram live and for his fans.

He plans to hold more such gigs in the coming months as a prelude to the release of his debut EP.

Samuel also revealed he will be announcing a video challenge as promotions for the EP pre-release where 3 of his top fans/followers will win some cash prizes and other goodies.
