The Anambra State Signage and Advertisement Agency, (ANSAA), has warned politician, churches, bereaved families and other members of the public who use any form of signage in the state, to desist from pasting posters without first approaching the Agency to get clarification and authorization on where to paste such posters.

The Agency gave the warning in a statement recently issued to that effect, even as its staff also embarked on clean up operation in the capital territory, which was started at Aroma Flyover and carried out around the whole capital territory to clean up the public buildings and other structures blighted with posters.

The Agency further informed the public to always make the requisite payments in the bank after they must have gotten authorisation, before pasting.

The statement also says the Agency will, henceforth, not tolerate any unauthorized posters of any purpose on public buildings (the flyovers, road demarcations, street light poles et al.)

The statement reads: “Staff of Anambra State Signage and Advertisement Agency today embarked on operation clean up in the capital territory.

“The exercise which started from the bridge at Aroma was carried out around the whole capital territory to clean up the public buildings and other structures blighted with posters.

“The agency also wants to use this medium to remind the general public (especially politicians, churches and bereaved families) of the need to approach the office to get clarification and authorization on where to paste posters, and also make the requisite payments before pasting.

“The agency henceforth will not tolerate any unauthorized posters of any purpose on public buildings (the flyovers, road demarcations, street light poles et al.)

“The agency also wishes to urge the general public who use any form of signage in the state to proceed to the bank and pay the necessary fee on the demand notice issued to them by her.

“NB: Remember any form of cash payment to anybody is not acceptable.”
