Dr Ofozoba Chinonso Hosts PDP Nri Ward II, Canvases Support For Ekwunife
The re-election campaign of the Senator representing Anambra Central Senatorial District, Uche Ekwunife, PhD, on Monday, January 23, 2023, received yet another boost as a colossal crowd stormed Uruofolo community in Nri to declare their massive support for her candidature.
This was made known at the strategic meeting conveyed by Dr. Nonso Ofozoba and had in attendance different stakeholders and youth groups in PDP Nri Ward II.
Delivering his welcome speech, Dr. Ofozoba lauded Ekwunife as a performing lawmaker who has continued to use the instrumentality of legislation to positively advance the development and growth of her people. He noted that the senator deserves another mandate to consolidate on her development-driven representation.
The former Nri Youth President, who doubles as the Head, Uche Ekwunife Liaison Office, commended the stakeholders and particularly the youth for turning out en masse and stated that the A-grade lawmaker would be able to attract more projects, if she emerges as a principal officer in the 10th assembly.
In his remarks, the ward chairman, Chijioke Okonkwo appreciated Dr. Ofozoba for hosting the meeting, stressing that Ekwunife is the best choice for the electorate. He noted that judging by the capacity and competence of the candidates there should be no reason why constituents would not vote massively for Ekwunife.
Also speaking, Chief Nnamdi Dunga Dueze advised the people to be wary of candidates who always wait until a few months to election before they remember the people at the grassroots, describing Ekwunife as a thoroughbred grassroots politician who always delivers the dividends of democracy to her people. He assured that he would do everything humanly possible to ensure that the federal lawmaker would be re-elected.
Earlier, the PDP candidate of House of Assembly for Anaocha Constituency II, Chief Afam Nri, extolled Ekwunife’s uncommon representation strides and urged the people to stand by her in the February 25th general elections. He further urged the electorate to vote for himself on March 11, 2023.
Present were Engr. Echezona Obiokoye (Uruofolo Youth Chairman), Aghaji Junior (Diodo youth chairman represented by Otiji Ifeanyi), Adike Martin (PDP ward II and representing Ekwenanyika youth), Chief Ugogbuzue of Akwaeze, Chief Nwajiugo of Nri and Chukwudi Erilim (SUE Coordinator Nri ward I).
