Draws for 2nd Victor Ikpeba Football Challenge holds Dec. 20

The official draws for the second edition of the Victor Ikpeba Football Challenge ‘Warri 2022’ has been scheduled to hold in Warri on Tuesday, December 20, 2022.

According to the General Coordinator of the Football Challenge, Dapo Sotuminu, ahead of the draws, the organisers have announced that the competition will be played on 24 team- format, which would see five teams each placed in four groups and four teams in the fifth.

The event’s Tournament Director, Mr. Marvel Dick, said in Warri, Friday that, with this situation, the 2nd Victor Ikpeba Football Challenge will be played on league cum knock out basis, with 30 minutes regulated time of 15 minutes each half in the first round, so that at the end of Day One of the competition, the teams would have been reduced to 12.

The Tournament Director added that, on Day Two, the competition would continue to the quarter finals stage. The event will start with the quarter final games in the morning of Day 3.

Marvel Dick stated: “The semi final matches with an increased regulated playing time of 40 minutes of 20 minutes each half will be played mid-day of December 23, and third place at 3pm, before the grand finale at 4pm.”
