Eagles vs Blue Shark: Lagos Hosts Nigeria’s Last Game, As Rohr’s Men Wrap Up World Cup Campaign

The highest Nigerian Football Team, the Super Eagles, will on Tuesday, slug- it-out with the Cape Varde at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere, Lagos State.
Super Eagles are on the verge of picking their ticket to Qatar 2022, as the preparation is in top gear to take on the Blue Sharks in the final series.
It’s very germane in the history of sports in Nigeria that Lagos plays a vital role in promoting Sports at all levels.
Speaking ahead of the Game, the Executive Chairman,(LSSC), Sola Aiyepeku, disclosed that the Super Eagles coming back to the “Centre of Excellence” is another big match in the history of the round leather game and bringing the highest level of football Team in the Country is something that will motivate, encourage and propagate the sports culture in the state and Nigeria.
“Super Eagles and Blue Sharks game in Lagos, the commercial nerve centre in Nigeria, will command the football loving enthusiasts and the world to welcome the super eagles to its winning nest.
“With the kind of the top class stadium in place, it shows that Nigerian Team are ready to host Cape Verde in Lagos and pick the Ticket to Qatar 2022”, said Aiyepeku.
Director-General, Lagos State Sports Commission, Oluwatoyin Gafar, has enjoined Nigerians to give maximum support to the Super Eagles as the State would do everything possible to ensure that it continues to attract more International Games.
“We are very glad that another International Game is underway and Eagles playing Cape Verde in Lagos is another testimony of how the State is investing in our Sports infrastructure .”As a State we will not relent in our efforts when it comes to engendering the culture of Sports in our environment”, said Gafar.
Recall that Nigeria in their last game in Morocco defeated Liberia on penalties courtesy of goals from Napoli forward, Victor Osimhen and Ahmed Musa.
