Orashi National Congress Disowns Award To Vasty Clinic As National Provost Risks Suspension

Posted on April 5, 2026

The leadership of the Orashi National Congress (ONC) has officially distanced itself from a purported award presented to Vasty Clinic, Ahoada, describing the action as unauthorized and not reflective of the position of the Congress.
In an official statement issued by the President General, Amb. Emeni Ibe (JP, AP), the ONC clarified that the recognition allegedly conferred on Vasty Clinic as the “Best Patient Friendly Clinic” did not receive the approval or endorsement of the national leadership.
The award, which was reportedly presented by a delegation led by the National Provost, Comrade Prince Ene Believe C., had commended the clinic for its service delivery and patient care within the Ahoada community. However, the Congress has now disassociated itself entirely from the exercise.
Amb. Ibe disclosed that Comrade Prince Ene Believe is currently under investigation for acts of insubordination and has been invited by the ONC Disciplinary Committee to answer to allegations bordering on misconduct and breach of organizational protocols.
“The general public is hereby advised to disregard the said award and any similar engagements carried out by Comrade Prince Ene Believe, as they do not represent the position or authority of the Orashi National Congress,” the statement read.
The ONC leadership further cautioned institutions, organizations, and individuals to desist from engaging with or accepting recognitions from the embattled Provost pending the outcome of the ongoing disciplinary process.
Meanwhile, the Congress acknowledged the gesture of support earlier extended by the Mayor of Orashi, Hon. Solomon Abuba Ochoma, who provided financial assistance to a delegation to visit the ailing Secretary General of the Congress in Omoku, and prayed for his speedy recovery.
The Orashi National Congress reaffirmed its commitment to transparency, due process, and the protection of its institutional integrity.
