ECN DG, Dr Mustapha Abdullahi Receives Afro-Arab Youth Council Delegation

The Director-General/CEO, Energy Commission of Nigeria (ECN), Dr. Mustapha Abdullahi, received a delegation from the Afro-Arab Youth Council led by West Africa Coordinator, Amb. Akoshile Mukhtar, on a courtesy visit to the Energy Commission headquarters.

This meeting marked the beginning of a fruitful collaboration between the Energy Commission and the Afro-Arab Youth Council, aimed at empowering youths and driving national development in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.

The Energy Commission is responsible for developing and implementing energy coordination policies in critical areas of alternative energy outside biomass and fossil fuels. Through these policies, the Commission aims to create a sustainable energy future for Nigeria and Africa, driving economic growth and development. Dr. Abdullahi averred.
The Commission is always open to collaboration with relevant stakeholders to create job opportunities, foster entrepreneurship and skills development, and support capacity building programs, empowering youths to become change-makers.

Dr. Abdullahi expressed his appreciation and gratitude for the recognition by the body of African youths and its belief in his capacity to transform the lives of Nigerian youths through his leadership as the Energy Commission boss. He assured the visiting team of the Commission’s continued collaborative efforts to create a brighter future for the teeming youths and provide necessary support and resources to ensure the success of joint initiatives.

Dr. Abdullahi congratulated Amb. Akoshile Mukhtar on his appointment as West Africa Coordinator of the Afro-Arab Youth Council and expressed his commitment to working together with the youth organisation to create a brighter future for Nigerian and African youths. The Energy Commission, under his leadership is dedicated to driving this vision forward, empowering youths and transforming lives.
