Edo 2020 Football: We’re Ready For Any Opposition, Says Team Ekiti

After defeating a professional club, Ekiti United Football Club 1-0 in a recent friendly match played at Olukayode Fayemi Stadium in Ado- Ekiti, Chief Coach of Team Ekiti, Kehinde Anjorin has expressed confidence that his team will go far in the forthcoming National Sports Festival scheduled for Edo State in March.
Anjorin whose team qualified with Team Lagos at the recent South West Zonal elimination of the Sports Festival in the male football event boasted that if his team could beat Ekiti United in a friendly match, he is upbeat that Team Ekiti will shock big teams in Edo.
“We are getting better every day and I believe that Team Lagos, Team Edo and others should not underrate us because we can shock them in the festival. We respect Team Lagos, we saw them in the zonal elimination but we don’t fear them.
“We are sending a warning signal to all the participating states that Team Ekiti cannot be underrated. Any state that underrates us, we will shock them. We will continue to intensify our effort and ensure that we bring medal back to Ekiti State,” said Anjroin who prayed to meet Team Lagos in the final of the festival
Anjorin said he will continue to search for more fresh legs before he released his final squad. He said no player is guarantee a shirt until names of the final list release and warned players in team to avoid complacency and nonchalant attitude syndrome towards training that may cost them at the end of the day
