The Edo State Government has joined Nigerians in celebrating the Senate President, Senator Godswill Akpabio, on his 62nd birthday, December 9, 2024.

Senator Akpabio’s legacy of impactful leadership spans decades of public service, from his transformative tenure as Governor of Akwa Ibom State to his exemplary role in the National Assembly. His historic election to the Executive Committee of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) broke Nigeria’s 59-year absence from the global legislative body, further cementing his reputation as a trailblazer.

Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, commended Senator Akpabio for fostering collaboration between the National Assembly and the Executive, driving progress for Nigerians.

On this special day, Governor Okpebholo wished him good health, continued wisdom, and many more years of impactful service.

“Happy birthday to a leader whose vision and dedication inspire us all.”
