Victoria Oyedepo, wife of renowned EFCC prosecutor and Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Rotimi Oyedepo, has bagged a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Nursing Science from Babcock University, Ilisan-Remo, Ogun State.

She was conferred with the doctorate degree during the institution’s 14th convocation ceremony held on Thursday, where she was celebrated for her academic excellence and groundbreaking research in public health nursing.

A mother of four, Mrs. Oyedepo completed a rigorous academic journey, culminating in the successful defense of her doctoral thesis titled: “Effect of Educational Intervention on Knowledge and Self-Reported Preventive Practices of Non-Communicable Diseases Among Teachers in Selected Local Government Areas, Lagos State, Nigeria.”

Her research, which focused on community and public health nursing, was supervised by Professor Patience Edoho Samson-Akpan, with Professors Adeshola Ogunfowokan and Isaiah Abolarin serving as external and internal examiners respectively.

Mrs. Oyedepo’s accomplishment was met with heartfelt congratulations from family, friends, and well-wishers, including the legal community, who gathered at a reception held in her honour at the university guest house following the convocation ceremony.

The Oyedepo family expressed gratitude to God for the milestone and acknowledged the unwavering support that has sustained their journey over the years.

Her husband, Rotimi Iseoluwa Oyedepo, SAN, is a prominent legal figure, known for his role as a lead prosecutor for the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

The couple’s dedication to public service and excellence continues to serve as an inspiration across professional and academic circles.

Balancing the demands of family life, raising children, and the intense rigours of a doctoral program, Mrs. Oyedepo’s journey is a testament to the power of resilience, determination, and faith.

Her success resonates deeply with many women who strive daily to combine professional aspirations with family responsibilities.

Also, her husband, Mr. Oyedepo, SAN, whose fearless prosecution of high-profile corruption cases has earned him national recognition, has remained a pillar of support in his wife’s academic pursuit.

His commitment to justice in the courtroom is matched by his devotion at home, proving that the fight against corruption and the nurturing of intellectual excellence can go hand in hand in building a stronger nation.
