Eid-el-Kabir: Egbemode Felicitates With Muslim Faithfuls

Posted on August 1, 2020

The Osun State Commissioner for Information and Civic Orientation, Funke Egbemode, has felicitated with Muslim Faithfuls on the occasion of this year’s eid-el-kabir celebration.

Egbemode, in a statement, called for more reflection on what the occasion represents, especially the tenets of love and sacrifice, adding that there is greater need for these attributes in relationships and daily interactions.

In her words: “I join our Muslim brothers and sisters in the State of Osun and across the country to celebrate this special occasion, the eid-el-kabir.

“This season reminds us of the importance of love and sacrifice, and I urge everyone to always allow these attributes to reflect in his daily interactions with other people. That is the only way we can have peace and unity as a people.

“Also, this year’s celebration is a special one because of the global health emergency that has caused a number of restrictions across the State and nation. Sacrifice is required of us by way of adherence to the safety guidelines outlined by the government and the NCDC, as we all join the fight to curtail the spread of COVID-19.

“Our guarantee of enjoying many more blissful Eid celebrations ahead is dependent on our staying safe today.
“Happy Sallah celebration, brothers and sisters”, Egbemode stated.
