Ejikeme Nwosu: Man With 7 FG’s Patents Set To Be Honoured In Anambra.

Founder of Lumos Laboratories, Abuja and one of the most celebrated innovators in Nigeria, Ejikeme Nwosu, will be honoured as the Innovator of the Year at the upcoming AMTY award ceremony on March 22, 2025.

 

According to Organisers, Ejikeme’s recognition is based on his remarkable contributions to innovation in Nigeria. As the holder of seven government patents, Nwosu has demonstrated exceptional ingenuity and creativity in developing cutting-edge solutions.

 

Nwosu’s patented inventions include:

Production of hydrogen-ammonia-methane gases mixture: A novel method for generating cooking gas and electricity from urine and biodegradable waste.

Conversion of urine into hydrogen-ammonia rich flammable gases: A groundbreaking process for harnessing energy from urine.

Conversion of urine-energy byproduct into fire retardant paints: An innovative application of urine-based energy byproducts.

Design, fabrication, and development of Patrium Flask Reactor: A pioneering vessel/equipment for producing flammable gases from urine.

Design, fabrication, and development of Hybrid Patrium Flask Reactor: A cutting-edge reactor for generating hydrogen-rich gases from urine, wastewater, and water.

Design, fabrication, and development of Ezeugo Flask: A novel vessel/equipment for separating mixtures of solvents, miscible solutes, and colloids.

Production of urine-based fertilizer: A sustainable method for converting urine into valuable fertilizer.

 

The AMTY Awards ceremony will take place on 22nd March, 2025, and will bring together innovators, entrepreneurs, and industry leaders to celebrate excellence and innovation in the State.

 

Ejikeme Nwosu was born on 4th February, 1983 in Awka, Anambra State, Nigeria. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in pure and industrial chemistry from Nnamdi Azikiwe University. He also has a Master’s degree in organic chemistry from the University of Ibadan.

 

In a speech given by the former Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Yemi Osinbajo, on behalf of the former President, Muhammadu Buhari, Nwosu was mentioned alongside five other inventors in Nigeria.

 

He was equally recognized as the “Anambra Person of the Week”.
