Ekiti State FA Cup: Teams Get 6 March Registration Deadline

Ekiti State Football Association has said that the  window is still open for interested football teams in Ekiti state to register for the 2020 edition of the state’s FA Cup.


The FA chairman, Bayo Olanlege, said that local teams in the state are expected to participate in this year’s competition and these teams should make efforts to pick up their forms quickly, as the registration for the 2020 Ekiti FA cup which began on Monday, 17th February, 2020 will be closed on Friday 6th of March, 2020.

The FA boss also revealed that Sunday, April 26th, 2020, has been set as a proposed date for the final of the FA cup in Ekiti, as he reiterates the desires of the State FA to make this year’s edition of the competition grand and better organized in line with best global practices.  

Meanwhile, in continuation of its youth football developmental programmes, Ekiti state football association has embarked on a tour of South West Nigeria for friendly football matches to get its teams in top shape.

The U-16 and U-13 boys team of the Ekiti State football association, Ekiti Bees and Ekiti Mosquitoes respectively, will this weekend continue their development as they travel to Ibadan to take on 3SC cadet teams in separate friendly matches. 


In preparation for this tie, the coaches have been talking tough, ahead of the games, which has been  described as battles for bragging rights. 
Coach of Ekiti Bees, coach Idris Bolarinwa, has therefore released a list of 21 players invited to their crown polytechnic Odo Ado Ekiti camp ahead of the friendly match scheduled for Saturday February 29, in Ibadan, Oyo State.
