Eko International Film Festival Gets New December Dates

The 8th Eko International Film Festival,  which had earlier been scheduled for 23-28 October,  has been shifted to new dates in December.

PM EXPRESS can report that the film festival, which had received entries from all over the world,  will now hold from 4-9 December this year.

The organisers said: “We wish to inform you that our festival that supposed to start from October 23-28,2017 will not hold as stated before due to some logistic issues. The new date for the 8th edition of our annual Eko International Film Festival will be December 4-9, 2017.

” We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your patience and understanding. ”

Meanwhile, the organisers have released names of countries where official selections for the awards will come from. Apart from the host country, Nigeria, the selections will come from nations such as Germany ,United States,Austria,, United Kingdom ,France , Switzerland, Australia ,Italy,, Belgium, Iran, ,Brazil, Canada India,, Spain, Russian Federation, ,Korea Republic, Netherlands,, Bangladesh, Hungary, ,Ireland, China, Greece, Iraq, South Africa, Japan, Norway, Georgia, Argentina, Israel, Taiwan,Turkey, Ukraine, Malaysia, Azerbaijan Armenia and Cameroon.

Others are Chile, Colombia, Croatia, Czech Republic, Belarus, Denmark, Dominican Republic, Finland, Gabon, Ghana, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Kenya,, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Liechtenstein ,Lithuania, Myanmar, Namibia, Pakistan, Philippines, Poland, Puerto Rico, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Singapore, Slovakia,Sudan, Sweden, Uruguay, Zimbabwe, Macau, Uruguay and Zimbabwe

The selection will however be done in the following categories: Feature Film, Short Film, Fiction, Documentaries, Short Documentaries and Indigenous film.
