Ekwunife Congratulates Obi Over Daughter’s Traditional Wedding

The Senator representing Anambra Central Senatorial District, Uche Ekwunife, PhD, alongside her beloved husband, Chief Larry Ekwunife (Ozo Okutaoluoibe), on Sunday, April 17, 2022, joined men and women of goodwill from different strata of society to witness the traditional wedding between Amaka Obi and Chukwuma Okeke-Ojiudu.

The bride, Amaka is the daughter to the former governor of Anambra state and the 2023 Presidential hopeful under the Platform of Peoples Democratic Party, His Excellency, Peter Obi. While the groom, Chukwuma is the son of a prominent businessman, Chief Tony Okeke-Ojiudu from Alor community, Idemili South LGA, Anambra State.

The ceremony, which was held at Agulu, Anaocha LGA, Anambra State, was well attended by crème la crème of political leaders including the former governor of Imo State, His Excellency, Emeka Ihedioha, Senator representing Abia South, Enyinnaya Abaribe, PDP BOT members, High Chief Ben Obi and Chief Chris Ubah, member representing Ogbaru constituency, Hon. Chuchu Onyema, member representing Idemili North and South, Hon. Obinna Chidoka, Deputy Minority leader of ASHA, Hon. Ebele Ejiofor and the traditional ruler of the Agulu community, Igwe Innocent Obodoakor.

In her goodwill message, Ekwunife congratulated the couple for truly being lucky to have found love in each other, saying that they should be worthy ambassadors of their families.

“Amaka, your father is a globally recognised businessman and the best governor to have governed Anambra State, he is known across Nigeria as a man of discipline and moral excellence, I urge you to sustain his legacy as you begin this wonderful journey of marriage”, she noted.

The Federal lawmaker while praying for marital blessings for the couple enjoined them to make God the cornerstone of their marriage.

The Chairman Senate Committee on Science, Technology and Innovation further extended

Congratulations to the PDP 2019 Vice Presidential candidate in the last general elections and his entire family.

Other dignitaries present were Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr. Chris Ngige, former deputy governor of Anambra state, His Excellency, Nkem Okeke, Chairman of NNPC board, Senator Margaret Okadigbo, PDP 2017 and 2021 gubernatorial candidates, Oseloka Obaze and Valentine Ozigbo, their running mates, Chidi Onyemelukwe and Azuka Enemo, Chairman/CEO of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing, Chief Innocent Chukwuma, OFR, Professor Stella Okunna, Associate-Professor Rose Nwankwo, Lady Henrietta Agbata and Chief Okey Ezeibe.

Others include, former Anambra State PDP Chairman, Chief Ndubuisi Nwobu, Hon. Valentine Ayika, Dr. Emeka Eze, Sir Victor Umeh, founder and CEO of Juhel Nigeria Limited, Dr. Ifeanyi Okoye, President General of Nri kingdom, Chief Kelvin Obiegbuna, CEO of Cubana Group, Chief Obinna Iyiegbu, Barr. John Okoli-Akirika, Hon. Joe Dimobi, Chief Emeka Igwe, former Commissioners of Anambra state, traditional rulers and religious leaders.
