The Senator representing Anambra Central Senatorial District, Uche Ekwunife, PhD, has congratulated Rev. Fr. Prof. Emmanuel C. Umezinwa over his appointment as the pioneer Vice Chancellor of Peter University, Achina.
Peter University is a tertiary institution jointly owned by the Catholic Dioceses of Awka and Ekwulobia and was among the 12 new private universities recently approved by the Federal Government.
Ekwunife described Fr. Umezinwa’s appointment as a reflection of his years of notable accomplishments both in academics and administration. She recognised the newly appointed Vice Chancellor and an ace priest musician, who has released several classical songs that conscientize the public.
The Senator rejoiced with the Professor of Ethno-Musicology and urged him to replicate the same character that led to his appointment to move the new citadel of learning forward. She prayed God to grant the newly appointed Vice Chancellor the grace to grow the university to become one of the best institutions of higher learning in the country and the world at large.
