Emulate Lifestyle Of Adaka Boro – Col. Dikio (Rtd) Charges Ijaw Youths

The Interim Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP), Col. Milland Dixon Dikio (Rtd.), has appealed to the newly inaugurated leadership of the Ijaw National Congress (INC) to adopt new approach in its agitation to attract development to the Niger Delta region.
Dikio, who spoke in Yenagoa, during the inauguration of the new President of INC, Prof. Benjamin Okaba and the National Executive Committee, said it was time Ijaw elders embraced a development-focused mindset to ensure greater transformation of the region.
Congratulating the INC on his successful election, he pledged to partner with the congress for positive advancement of the Niger Delta, describing the inauguration as the dawn of a new day in Ijaw land.
The Interim Administrator also attended the 52nd Boro day celebration which held at Kaiama and Yenagoa.
Speaking at the wreath laying ceremony, he noted that the issues which necessitated Boro’s 12 day revolution in the country, are still looming large in the Niger Delta region and agitating the minds of the people, 52years after the departure of Mr. Adaka Boro.
The Interim Administrator, Col. Dikio, also urged leaders and the good people of the Niger Delta to emulate the lifestyle of Boro, which represents selflessness, justice and equity. He further urged the youths to eschew activities that would de-market the region.
