Enugu APC Crisis: How Ben Nwoye Printed Ward Result Sheets From Business Centre – Mamah Reveals

Posted on August 16, 2021

As the APC Enugu crisis rages on following the removal of its former caretaker chairman, Ben Nwoye and his refusal to peacefully go, more revelations have come into play on how the former Caretaker Chairman went on to print fake Ward Congress results from which he illegally swore in his Ward Executives some weeks ago.

This was disclosed in a response by the State Caretaker Youth Leader, Joshua Mamah.

Mamah, who was among the 42 Committee Members that sacked Nwoye, accused the latter of printing fake Ward result sheets for the Enugu State APC Ward Congress exercise and passing them off as original results.

Mamah went on to also accuse Nwoye of illegally inauguarating non-SEC or SWC Executive Members and parading them as SEC members, as was witnessed in the situation where a 70-year old man was passed off as a Youth Leader.

Mamah said: “I watched with disbelief how a near 70 years old man, by name IK Obuyeme, who had recently vied to be an Ex-Officio in the Ward Congresses, now parading himself as a Youth Leader. Even the women at the so called endorsement of Nwoye were not members of the SWC or SEC, thus nullifying such vote of confidence. Nwoye should learn that the game is up and should start playing by the rules”.

“Let me ask what has been Nwoye’s achievements as State Chairman or Caretaker Chairman, has he won his polling booth since he emergence?”

“This is someone, who went and printed fake results sheets from a business centre and passed them as originals during the Congress; it was when the Enugu State Ward Congress Committee refused to dance to his tune, that was when he illegally inaugurated his own Ward Executives.”

“I have also been inundated with stories of how i signed under duress or for monetary gain to remove him. Please, I wish to state here that I never at any point signed under duress or received money. What we did was done out of conscience and to salvage the party” Mamah concluded.
