Enugu APC Ward Congress Committee Commends Party Members For Their Cooperation

With the APC Ward Congresses coming to an end, the exercise in Enugu has been described as a success with the committee members commending party members for their cooperation.
This was made known in a press conference, which was convened by the members of the committee to brief party stakeholders and members of the press on the state of the exercise which began yesterday, 31st July, 2021.
At the press conference, the committee members, led by their Chairman, Dr. Ijeomah Arodiogbu, commended the state members of the APC for the success of the ward congress exercise which he said was due to the maturity and cooperation exhibited by the members. He described his committee’s performance as satisfactory while announcing that the committee had toured the whole of Enugu monitoring the exercise which was free and fair.
Dr. Arodiogbu stated that in some wards the members had gone for consensus but where the members could not reach such, they voted for their preferred candidates. He further stated that the exercise had been carried out under strict adherence to the party’s constitution and set guidelines, also noting that the relevant agencies such as the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Police and the State Security Services having been duly informed about the exercise, had also been involved with the exercise in line with their constitutional roles.
On the allegation of missing result sheets, Dr Arodiogbu dismissed such stories as mischievous.
He stated that at no point in the exercise was such a report made to him or the appropriate authorities and that for such reports to have surfaced at the conclusion of the exercise was only a pointer that people who had lost out were trying to undermine the process.
