Essenza, a Nigerian leading retailer of luxury fragrances, cosmetics and skincare products, has once again collaborated with a Medical Mission team from the United States of America who were in Nigeria to sponsor the treatment of Cataract surgery for over 40 patients.

The exercises were carried out between July 29 to August 9 at Idera Memorial Clinic in Ijebu Ayepe and in Lagos respectively.

Speaking on why her company took part in the sponsorship of the medical mission, Ms. Abiola Kasunmu, Executive Director, Essenza, said “As a company, Essenza tailors its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) towards humanitarian activities as it is always committed to touching lives. We love to give hope to people hence the reason for sponsoring the cataract surgeries.”

She added that Essenza has been participating in the Medical Mission every year and the company recently organised a Special Children’s Day party for pupils of Amuwo-Odofin Primary School and Unity Primary School, both in Lagos. “As a brand that believes in philanthropic work, Essenza is always committed to giving back to the society, hence the reason for identifying with the children on their day,” Kasunmu added.

She however called on other corporate bodies in the country to join hands with government to boost the medical sector, stating that the future of Nigeria depends on provision of adequate medical facilities that would get the buy in of all the stakeholders.

The Ijebu leg of the mission had in attendance, Mrs. Bamidele Abiodun, Ogun State First Lady.

Speaking at the event, Mrs. Abiodun, who was amazed by the level of hard work put into the project, pledged her commitment to support the medical mission with all that she can on their next project.

With over a decade of experience, Essenza, the visionary chain, has become a household name amongst the brand conscious in West African consumer market.

Essenza is the official retailer to more than 80 international brands including Tom Ford, Hugo Boss, Givenchy, Chanel, Armani, Guerlain, Clarins, Clinique, Lancôme, Estee Lauder, D&G and Dior.
